Scammer: @customsecret_ph / @usa_shopping_gadgets

As an online seller, I need to make sure our suppliers and even our own buyers are legit.

I browsed through #bogusph and #scamphils on Instagram to familiarize who the bogus buyers and sellers are.

Just then I came across @scam_alert_manila's IG account.

It seems that the person who owns this account has been scammed greatly, seeing it is intended for a single seller only.

I browsed through the posts and was really shocked to know that this seller has already scammed a lot - and I mean A LOT - of people!

Based on the posts and conversations of people commenting on this account, the seller - formerly @customsecret_ph - has been selling and swapping gadgets.

The account owner of @scam_alert_manila was immediately blocked by the said bogus seller immediately after the owner has paid for the item worth Php13k.

From then on, the bogus seller keeps on changing their account name.

It is a private account and does not accept followers really easily - even my follow request is ignored.

One buyer was able to discover that the seller was a scammer and so commented "You're a bogus seller!"

The seller immediately blocked her.

Another was a customer who received broken speakers instead of an iPhone.

And there are lots more who were scammed!

And it seems this scammer is not just one person, but is one group.
I doubt it's even her on the picture.

I just thought this is something to share to online buyers so that we will be more vigilant with purchasing and swapping items online.

@scam_alert_manila has helped a few online shoppers who were planning to purchase from the said bogus from getting scammed.

For online shoppers, please be advised to make thorough check on online sellers.

It is your right to ask proofs of their legitimacy.
